Let me explain what I ghave been trying. I have started to comment out
stuff so by process of elimination I could find what is needed.  It
seems the only thing that is responding is the line
        Virtual     320 240
and if I change these numbers the screen gets distorted.  I havent had
any luck with the modelines.  the Xserver does not seem to be responding

to changes in it.  I have also attemted to use the modeplot script and
have installed gnuplot for that.  It will not run as mentioned in a
previouse message I sent.

I hope that this config file helps someone that is having a tougher time

than me.  And I would apreciate any response or tips someone with more
linux exp. might have.  myself I have only been trying linux for a
couple of weeks.

Thanks

Try changing the Virtual 320 240 to Virtual 640 480. If you want to
tweak the modelines, use xvidtune while running the X server in the
desired mode. It allows you to shift and scale the since of the visible
screen region.

Try to use xf86setup instead of XF86Config, or even better the fantastic sax
from SuSE, that'll permit you to fine tune your x configuration.

1. HELP*HELP*HELP WHITH XFREE86

HELP*HELP*HELP*HELP*HELP*HELP*HELP*HELP

I have a problem whith my video card for running xfree86.
I have a pci card (SIS - silicon integrated systems) and i cant put it to
run whith any of the drivers supplied by the xfree86 installation.

I can run it whith my old vesa card ( cirrus logic) but it has a lot of
incompatibilitis whith my main board.

I would appreciate if anyone could help me on this and tell me where can i
find a driver compatible whith the "fucking card".

whith regards

Eduardo Tavares
