Hello,

I am interested in purchasing the new Super Slim notebook from SONY.
I was wondering if anyone out there has been successful in installing
Linux on that laptop, and got X Windows working as well.  Any info
about installation problems would be helpful.  Thanks.

1. Linux on a Sony VAIO PCG-XG9 notebook

Hi all,

Trying to install Redhat 6.1 on this laptop.  It's already got Win98 and
I'm trying to make it a dual boot.  Not much info out there concerning
the PCG-XG9 but I'm going to give it a try anyway.

First snag, and this probably isn't a laptop issue, is that the
installer won't allow me to
allocate anything besides swap space.  Anything else I do and it gives
me an error saying the boot partition is too big, even if I haven't yet
allocated a /boot partition.

Any ideas?

Greg
