During installation, system hangs after only a few seconds at the
"initializing PCMCIA devices" stage. If I try a manual install, the PCMCIA
section gives an error "cant initialise device". I tried disabling the
PCMCIA hardware in the laptop, but there is no setting for this in the BIOS.
Any suggestions (other than "buy a different laptop") ?
