Lexmark Medley Linux compatable?

Lexmark Medley Linux compatable?

Post by D Richard » Thu, 28 May 1998 04:00:00

I recently aquired a Lexmark Medley 4x which is a fax, scanner, printer, and
copier all in one.  I sit possible to configure this to work with Linux?

Currently when I try and print to it from Netscape I get sheets and sheets
of blank pages.  In etc/printcap it's set up for a generic printer.

Thanks

Duane

1. Medley RAID ? what is it

In my continuing search for a mboard that has properly
supported SATA, I've stumbled upon the Giga-byte 8knxp.

Has 4 SATA and ECC memory support which is what I'm looking for.
However, all RAID references on google turn up complaints about
Medley RAID not working properly? Is this the same thing as
Linux RAID? If not, can I just use Linux RAID 5 on the SATA drives
without problems in 2.4.22 kernel?
