could I please get some recommendations for the fastest SCSI controller
& HD combo for Red Hat running Athlon 900 on FIC M-board?

Where can I get the drivers?

(recommendations for SuSe also appreciated)

Fastest HDD for Linux would be the Seagate Cheetah 18XL (10kRPM) or the
Seagate Cheetah X15 (15kRPM).  Fastest SCSI controller would be an
Ultra160 model.  I would suggest that you stick with Symbios based SCSI
if you're wanting to purchase a non-RAID SCSI controller -- my
experience has been that the driver support is much better than that of
the Adaptec controllers.

1. installing linux with adaptec & scsi cdrom drive & scsi cdr (matshita)

i have (as windows says in system properties)   Adaptec AHA-
150X/1510/152X/AIC-6X60 SCSI Host Adapter,

also i have 2 scsi drives :  1.  cd-rom scsi - toshiba XM-6201TA
2.  Matsushita (MATSHITA) CD-R CW-7502

ok so i instrall the drivers so it will support in dos and i run the
installtion' and i couldn't get this thing install from the cd-rom

what do i need to do so it will work for me (the icq of the adapter is 10.
