man <termwindow>.

Something like this in ~/.Xdefaults (for rxvt here) for permanent:

 rxvt*font: -*-lucidatypewriter-medium-*-*-*-18-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Also, via command line like 'rxvt -fn <whatever>'.

1. Default font size in X?

Hi everybody,

On my SuSE 7.2, X 4.1 and KDE 2 system, all GUI programs which don't use KDE use
a very big default font size. The whole interface of these programs is highly
enlarged because of the texts (menus, toolbars, alert boxes and such).

I manage to tame Netscape by editing "Netscape.ad"... So I hope that there's
somewhere a setup line in some setup file for X to manage a default font size...
Because I don't feel like having to find some "FreeAmp.ad", "XScreenSaver.ad",
"eog.ad", and so on to edit them the way I did with "Netscape.ad"...

So does this setup line exist and where?

See you,
