USB External Drive Cases?

USB External Drive Cases?

I'm trying to get a USB External Drive Encolsure to work under Redhat 9.0,
and am haveing no luck at all.  My motherboard supports USB 1.1, and the
enclosure supposrts 2.0 and 1.1.  The kernel I'm running is...

3.2.2 20030222 (Red Hat Linux 3.2.2-5)) #1 SMP Tue Apr 13 17:40:10 EDT 2004

...under Red Hat 9.0.  I've got no problems with other devices that show up
as drives (a compact flash player, an mp3 player); so this seems to be
working.  From the messages, I don't seem to get any errors from the mass
storage device, it just doesn't seem to want to work.

The drive is connected and running when the system boots up, and this is
the results of dmesg....
