Abit ATA-66 PCI card ???

Abit ATA-66 PCI card ???

Post by Rowan Hugh » Thu, 15 Jul 1999 04:00:00

I see Abit have an ATA66 PCI card with two controller
lines, the HA66. It's backwards compatible with ATA33/UDMA.
Do you know if 2.0.37 or 2.2.X will drive this card?

TIA

1. Linux 2.2.x, UDMA/ATA-66, and SIIG PCI IDE cards

I just picked up a CompUSA/Maxtor 10.2GB 7200RPM ATA66 drive and a SIIG
UltraATA 66 PCI controller card. I have heard that ATA66 support is
problematic currently, but I am curious as to whether the SIIG card is even
supported under current production kernels in UDMA33 mode, and if so, what
patches if any do I need. Thanks!
