In most cases: the PII 300.
Floating point, handling large amounts of data etc.
Only where the 512K cache is used optimally might the PPro be faster
(because level 2 cache is on chip) then again, the Level 1 cache on the
PII is supposed to be bigger or better.

I run floating point calcs and compile a lot of code.  Here the PII266
wins over a PPro200 by far.

1. FreeBSD on a Dual Processor machine (PII-300)

Hi,

Recent'y I bought a Dual PII-300 machine. On one of the partitions I
am planning to Install FreeBSD 3.1.  Does FreeBSD 3.1 support dual PIIs.

If yes shall I have to select any special options at the time of
installation?

Thanks in advance.
