Buslogic 946C SCSI-2 32 Bit PCI Hard Drive Controller

Buslogic 946C SCSI-2 32 Bit PCI Hard Drive Controller

I'm considering a Micron Electronics, Inc. P100PCI PowerStation Plus,
which includes a Buslogic 946C SCSI-2 32 Bit PCI Hard Drive Controller.
Does anyone have any experience with Micron, in general, or specifically
with this controller and Slackware 2.2? I know similar Buslogic models are
"OK", according to the HOW-TO, but I didn't see any reference to the "C".

I've read several times it works OK. There are some problems mixing it
with a HP DAT drive, but it seems that it's not due to the controller,
but rather the scsi tape driver (or something like that).
There is a fix and it's included in the 1.2.5 kernel, but I'm not sure
whether it is stable enough yet.

I have both a Buslogic and a HP-DAT drive, but can't really comment from
my own experiences since I only have them for 3 days. Both seem good products
and once all problems are solved, the combination will be perfect.

There is a new Buslogic driver in the works, which will take better advantage
of the new features in some models. So speed will go up even more!

1. FS: Buslogic BT-946C PCI SCSI controller

Hello,

I have several OEM Buslogic BT-946C PCI SCSI cards for sale. They are
brand new and oem sealed. As you already, Buslogic cards are well
supported by Linux. The sale price is $125 + shipping. I think they
retail aroudn $200. Prepay with money order for immediate shipping.
The shipment will be held until personal checks clear. Thanks.
