I recently purchased a computer from TC Computers that came with a
no-name sound card. It works fine under Windows 98, but I cannot get it
to work under Linux.
Windows identifies it as PCI 338-A3D sound card. It is supposed to be
SB compatible. It is a PCI card using INT 5. I have tried using
sndconfig but it tells me that it found an unknown PCI sound card.
Then, it tells me that it couldn't find a sound card and asks me to pick
one from the list. I tried the SB with the same settings as I got from
the Windows info and it gives me a device busy error when it tries to
load the sb.o using modprobe.
Anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong?
Thanks,
Warren
