new motherbord support and Pentium II support

new motherbord support and Pentium II support

Post by Martin Breme » Wed, 30 Apr 1997 04:00:00

Hi,

Is it wise to buy the latest type of motherboard which have a
Universal Serial Bus Port or is this gizmo not supported yet by the main
Linux distributions.
And what will happen later this year when the new graphics slot
(something like dual graphics port ???????) is available. Do I have to
wait until new hardware drivers have been written or will it work
without problems.
ANd my final question is will the new Pentium II (Klamath) work without
kernel changes?

Thanks if you can give me some detailss,

Martin
