QIC02 tape error

Post by Mark Mor » Tue, 05 Nov 1996 04:00:00

I've got a QIC02 drive and frequently I get the following error from
my cron backup event.  Any idea why?

/bin/tar --totals -cZX /root/tarexclude / -f /dev/rmt8
Status: RO

/bin/tar: Removing leading / from absolute path names in the archive.
/bin/tar: Removing leading / from absolute links
Total bytes written: 116520960
tar (child): can't write to /dev/rmt8 : Invalid argument
