Linux boot fails w "pci_init: no BIOS32" on NCR 3350 w 53c94 scsi

I'm trying to put Slackware Linux 2.2.0 onto an NCR 3350 (microchnnel,
scsi disks).
I've tried several boot images (scsi, bare,n_537xx) and the disk won't
boot. I get messages like this:
==================================
Welcome to the Slackware Linux bootkernel disk!
[.. many messages about parameters..]
boot:    [..I pressed ENTER here..]
loading ramdisk.......
Uncompressing Linux...done
Now booting the kernel
Console: 16 point font, 400 scans
Console: colour VGA+ 80x25, 1 virtual console (max 63)
pci_init: no BIOS32 detected
_
=====================================
What can I do?
Thanks.....

Do you have PCI (the new I/O bus standard) on your system?  If not, then
the message means that you don't have PCI.  Your problem is elsewhere.

Does Linux support MicroChannel?  I don't think it does; I can't find
mention in "Linux Unleashed" about MicroChannel support.

With the addition of a few patches, Linux will support it nicely.
OTOH, MCA linux doesn't support your SCSI card yet. I've been working with
another person that has one also and hopefully we'll have something soon.

check out http://glycerine.itsmm.uni.edu/mca/

Support for MCA has been added to 2.1.15.

1. Please help: I get "pci_init: no BIOS32" msg on diskette boot

I'm trying to install Slackware 2.2.0 on an NCR 3350, with a 53c94
SCSI card.

For a boot image, I've tried, scsi, bare, and n_53c7xx.s (from the
slackware distribution on the net).
This is what I get:
==================================
Welcome to the Slackware Linux bootkernel disk!
[.. many messages about parameters..]
boot:    [..I pressed ENTER here..]
loading ramdisk.......
Uncompressing Linux...done
Now booting the kernel
Console: 16 point font, 400 scans
Console: colour VGA+ 80x25, 1 virtual console (max 63)
pci_init: no BIOS32 detected
_
=====================================

So what's "no BIOS32 detected" all about, and what can I do?
Thanks.
