Hi:

You can use mc.  Just type mc at the prompt.  MC (Midnight Commander is a
shell that lets you navigate the file system easily.  You can also use it
to view text files, html files, and those compressed man pages in the
/usr/man directory.

You can also use less, cat or more to view text files.  Just type:

                less filename

at the linux prompt.  The same goes for the commands "cat" and "more" too.
