I'm running a pentium PCI box under linux with aha 2940 SCSI controller and
3c590 ethernet adapter since 1.3.3x kernels without any problem. Now I'm
running 1.3.56 kernel. Yes, with old version of 3c59x driver there was need to
hack a little bit the driver, but there was nothing so hard.
