Does anyone know if the ppa driver does anything in regards to parallel
port acceleration. According to the Iomega docs included with the zip
drive the original speed it set at the slowest to provide greatest
compatibility. Now while this may only apply to the DOS drivers is it
possible to do the same in Linux or does the ppa driver handle that
automatically?

1. parallel port printer and parallel port superdisk
I have only one parallel port, is there any problem switching them back
and forth? I used "alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc" in conf.modules to
get the
printer recognized, will connecting the superdisk disable the printer
even after I switch it back?
