You can check the xfree86.org web page or the suse.de web page for current
lists of supported software.

Yes sir it definitely is.  However, with that particular
card sometimes I see "static" on my screen when I have
text scrolling throught my rxvt's.  Nothing overly
annoying, just something I notice.

By the way, is there any reason why you aren't going for
another video card?  I bought this one as a stop gap
until I can pick up something like a Banshee.  Honestly
the 2d speed is only on par with the Matrox Millenium
I I had in my previous system.  (Yes, I'm running

For a few dollars more, I'd definitely JUMP at a
Banshee based card if the support for Xfree is
halfway decent (time to kick Matrox around and
have them release specs docs to support Mesa).

Just for reference:
I have an ATI 3D Rage Pro 8MB card. It seems to work fine with the Mach 64
driver in Linux X. I don't know about any special accelerated options
but I do remember that I needed to include these mystic tidbits into my
x config file that I found by searching at S.u.S.E.'s excellent site.

Hope it helps someone...
