1. GPFS on LInux with IDE HDD

1) Can the GPFS work on Linux cluster built with x335 with IDE HDD or
does the GPFS only supports SCSI HDDs.
2) Is there's any I/O performance comparison figures between using
GPFS for Linux on other types of disks subsystem
