today i ran in a strange problem:
during the weekend on of our indy's (system 6.2, 100MHz, 64Mb RAM) ran
out of logical swap space. adding additonal swap with 'swap -a ...' did
not work (killed immediately), viewing with 'swap -l' was also killed:
# swap -l
Killed (no further informations)
rebooting the machine did not work, i'm working as root, the
'graphical-swap-manager' gives the same result. what might help?
i have to install on serveral machines the irix6.5-system, but the HD is
in a few cases quiet samll (1Gb). Is there somewere a minimal
'installation-list' containing those programs which are required for
nfs, system-maintenance and a windowmanager? i tried it, but there are
so many different programs, and sometimes no idea wheter they are
'important' or not.
anyway, thanx a lot
