I had the same problem with a WebFORCE Indy (IP22).

Take a look at bug #417299 in patch 2777: 6.2 all platform kernel
rollup:

Bug #417299 :  IP22 only: system hangs while performing
               network-intensive operations.  The mouse cursor doesn't
               move, no crash dump is produced, the power button
               doesn't work; a ``paperclip reset'' is required.

That patch solved the problem for me.

You can try getting rid of the problem by installing a recommended patch set
first, and if that doesn't work *then* worry about debugging. Finding one of
the already-fixed problems is not such a worthwhile endeavour, IMHO.
