lp log file

Is there any way to log the full path name of a file printed with lp if when
you print it you do not specify the full path ?

Thank You

1. How to stop lp logs from rotating?

Simple question, or so I thought.  I've poked all over (cron, lp, manuals) but
can't find out how to stop /var/spool/lp/log from becoming /var/spool/lp/oldlog
and being re-initialized.  I've got to save the lp logs "forever" for budget
purposes.  Yeah, I could do a cron job or something, but I'd rather just shut
it off at the source.  And it's driving me nuts that I can't find the source!

Anyone?

Thanks.
