by I've been unable to get this running on any Linux until today. Works
with Yast2 configuration, selected Generic/Plustek drivers. The only
caveat is that you have to launch xsane with "xsane
plustek:/dev/usbscanner". Just launching xsane, xsane won't find the
scanner. Weird. Any ideas on that one? I've tried permissions.
