open xterm with "root-login"??

open xterm with "root-login"??

Hi!

When I installed my first linux (Suse-distrib.) I had an icon in X-windows to start a xterm
windows with a login for root?
Can anybody tell me how to do this??

If you start xterm, or any other terminal emulator for that matter, with the flag "-e" and
then the command line of what you want to run, in your case "su -l" it will work and when u
start it up the first thing it will ask for is "password:" and if mistyped will close.

command line should be:

xterm -e su -l

or

xterm -e "su -l"

one of those should work =)
