Very Computer

  I own a NEC Versa 4050H laptop, and I would like to use linux
(including X Windows) on it.  The technicians/software people at my
office tell me that the machine has a Chips&Technology graphics card,
and that there's little or no support for this in XFree86.  They also
tell me that there's little or no support for the glidepoint.

  Is there anyone who is successfully using linux on this machine, who
would be able to give me some hints?

The glidepoint works as a PS/2 mouse...  (but doesn't have it's normal
nifty features of double tapping for double clicking)

Beyond that you can use the SVGA X-server quite nicely...
