Has anyone successfully gotten this printer to work under Linux?
Specifically Caldera Open Linux 1.1 Base?

If so, please help me to do the same.

Thanks,

1. Epson Stylus Color 800: Problems with Color Printing

Hi
I've installed an Epson Stylus color 800 under my Suse 5.2-Linux-system.
The printer is working in general, but the color-prints are bad.
The problem is the following:
  - the colors are transformed, a green with the rgb-values of (0,1,0) in the
orginal become rgb=(0,0.7,0.4) in the printing.
  - the resolution is rougth.
  - the prints have low colors.

(to a reference print of the same file made under OS/2)

I've tested the following (with no success!):
  - apsfilter 1.3 and 1.5
  - ghostscript version 4.03
  - ghostscript 5.1 with stcolor
  - ghostscript 5.1 with uniprint and stc800p.upp.
  - manually edited resolution of 720 dpi in the apsfilterrc.atc800p
  - include of gamma.ps

Thanks for any help !
