can't format floppy in dosemu

 When I format a disk in dosemu, I get the errors below. Should I be able to
format a disk in dosemu?

(repeats)
floppy0: probe failed...
floppy0: probe failed...
end_request: I/O error, dev 02:00, sector 0
ERROR: Sector not found 1!
floppy0: probe failed...
floppy0: probe failed...
(repeats)

better do it in Linux

fdformat /dev/fd0H1440
mformat a:

dosemu0.60 and Linux 2.0.x are incompatible. Get a newer dosemu from
tsx-11.mit.edu and its mirrors: pub/linux/ALPHA/dosemu/Development
