Hi everyone,

does anybody succeed in compiling WAIS or free WAIS on Linux?

Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-linux/2.4.5/specs
gcc version 2.4.5

I got some strange errors... :(

bye,

Yes, I managed to work out the remaining problems just last night, as a
matter of fact.  The next release of freeWAIS, version 0.3, will have
support for compiling under Linux.  There still remain a few little
things to do for some of the other platforms, though.  Watch
comp.infosystems.wais for an announcement.
