innd tried to do a shared writable mapping

innd tried to do a shared writable mapping

Post by Sean B Pur » Sat, 09 Dec 1995 04:00:00

Hi,

I compiled inn1.4unoff2 on LinuxFT 1.0 - i.e. kernel 1.2.5 and ELF
binaries.  When I start it up I get "innd tried to do a shared writable
mapping".  inn still goes ahead and works, but I get this message in the
logs occasionally.

What is happening?  Can I fix it?  Must I compile inn statically?

All help appreciated,

Sean

Linux 1.2.5 doesn't support mmap() correctly.  Compile INN without
mmap().
