I compiled inn1.4unoff2 on LinuxFT 1.0 - i.e. kernel 1.2.5 and ELF
binaries. When I start it up I get "innd tried to do a shared writable
mapping". inn still goes ahead and works, but I get this message in the
logs occasionally.
What is happening? Can I fix it? Must I compile inn statically?

I am useing a pentium 90 with 32 megs of ram I get this message when
starting innd " innd tried to do a shared writeable mapping" I have
commented out the line in /etc/inetd.conf "nntp stream tcp nowait
root /usr/sbin/tdpd /usr/sbin/in.nntpd" this happned after upgrading
fron kernel v1.154 to v1.2 can anyone help
