Greetings!
I hope you may help me!
It seems linux doesn't recognize the ACER ASPIRE PCI settings.
Here goes the details ...
I've purchased the Slackware and RedHat distribution of Linux.
So I tried out to roll the instalation process.
o I've made a repartion of my hard disk and I've
reinstalled Windows 95.
o I've used cdide as boot disk and color as root disk.
o In the boot process I got the following error messages:
PCI vendor unknown I = 10 device = 1511
PCI vendor unknown I = 10 device = 1513
PCI vendor unknown I = 12 device = 646
PCI vendor unknown I = A device = 4354
o The system asked for the root disk. After I've switched
the disk, and a few messages I got the following message:
Kernel panic: VFS unable to mount root fs on 21:00
This occurs for both Slacware and RedHat.
Could you help me to fix this problem?
My machine is:
ACER ASPIRE ASP2225 P120 MT-I
