Does anyone have any kind of experience with multi-port serial
interface boards under Linux ?  Is there any board that could be
recommended ?

I need more than 2 serial ports, even more than 4 if possible !
My Miro 10 SD video board (S3 86C805, 1MB) uses i/o address 02E8h ...
believe it or not ! This video card really sucks ! Address 02E8h is
sort of a standard, so how can they use that for their damn card ?
Of course, no word about it in the manual ... but only a short
comment in a README file on the Windows 3.1 driver disk :(

But that's not the point now ... I'm looking for one of these serial
boards that have 8 ports or something like that. So, any recommendations ?

I read the Serial-FAQ... but I am unclear on one point, is it possible to
run multiple serial ports (like 8 or 16) using one of the "supported" cards
listed in the FAQ without running into IRQ problems under linux?
