Linux and Banyan Vines

Post by Maurice van Steense » Sat, 05 Sep 1998 04:00:00

Hey all

I run a Linux box at work as http, telnet and so on server. One thing I
still have trouble with is connecting to the Vines Network over there. I
can login to dos boxes by installing the Acadia/VxD Inetd server on those
and can connect to the Vines network via those, but I'd like to be able to
directly login to the Vines file server.

Anyone has tried to do the same?? I'd be happy to hear of any experiences
in this area.

Thanks

Maurice

I'm looking for anyone who can help me get my linux box to use a Vines
network.  I'm a Certified Banyan Engineer, however I'm still learning C
and C++, so writing the drivers myself if pretty much out of the
question for a while.  Can anyone offer any help?  I really don't want
to have to use '95/NT to do my Vines based stuff. tia.
