Hello,
I have floppies with minix filesystem on them and floppies with msdos
filesystem on them. Is it possible to edit /etc/fstab is such a way that I
can just call "mount /floppy" (with a flag maybe?) and that the floppy is
mounted correctly under /floppy ??

Just put `auto' in the filesystem field of /etc/fstab.

1. Mounting msdos fs and cdrom fs
Hi,
for one I am fascinated by freebsd.
I am coming from the world of dos and try to live in a hybrid
environment. I have found out how to mount a primary dos partition, but
I cannot firgure out if and how to do so with extended dos partitions.
Another point is mounting IDE CD-ROMs. The handbook says that this is
not supported, but the handbook is running behind development in some
parts, so I wouldn't be surprised if there is a way to use IDE CD-ROMs
(Mine is attached to the secondary port). I'd like to buy a freebsd
CD-ROM, that is what I need the CD-ROM support.
