Unsuccesful Zmodem Transfers

Unsuccesful Zmodem Transfers

Post by Pat Pridge » Wed, 24 Nov 1999 04:00:00

Just recently I started getting some unsuccessful ZModem Transfers with
RedHat 5.1. Although I can turn right around and fire up OS/2 and download
the same file I tried before. Any Ideas what might be causing these Zmodem
failures, and where I might look to find out? This happens with just a
regular connection using minicom, and can also happen using a ppp
connection while telnetting to a BBS. I'd rather use Linux for these
communications, but...with the failed downloads....

Thanks for any help you can give.

1. Using Zmodem for file transfer over a direct connection.

Could anyone tell me if their is something special that must be done on
either the unix or pc end to transfer files over a direct connection using
z/y/xmodem. I can get them to work over a modem connection but not a
null-modem connection.
