getwd, getcwd and errors

Post by Andy Mendelso » Wed, 10 Jan 1996 04:00:00

I've upgraded to libc 5.2.18 and am experiencing some serious
problems with ELF applications.  Elf versions of bash, make, mc and
other utilities report

getwd:cannot access parent directories (and similar errors for getcwd).

mc seg violates after hitting enter....

A.out versions seem OK.

I have GCC2.7.2, binutils,, libg++
I believe I followed the correct procedure:

cd /
ln -s -f /usr/src/linux/include/asm /usr/include/asm
ln -s -f /usr/src/linux/include/linux /usr/include/linux
rm -f /usr/lib/ /usr/lib/
rm -f /usr/include/iolibio.h /usr/include/iostdio.h
rm -f /usr/include/ld_so_config.h  /usr/include/localeinfo.h
rm -rf /usr/include/netinet /usr/include/net /usr/include/pthread
tar -xzf /archive/libc-5.2.18.bin.tar.gz

ldconfig -v

Any suggestions?

1. 2.5.18 Compile-time Error for Philips USB Video

Known problem.  That field was removed from the struct urb in the USB
core.  The driver (and some other USB video drivers) needs to be fixed.
Patches are welcome :)
