I recently purchased a cdrom with the Slackware release of Linux. My
problem is that I haven't been able to mount my cdrom. I have a SB16
with SCSI2. After reviewing HOWTOs and FAQs I realized that my scsi
controller isn't autodetected properly. So after bootup I type
aha152x=0x340,11,7,1. I still get an error when I try to mount the cd
which says "device is not a block device". After scanning this group
I saw a similar message where someone was told to recompile their
scsi device (scsi.a?) with parity checking turned off. Is that the
proper solution? If it is exactly how do I go about it. Any help
