comp.os.linux.sparc, anyone?

Post by Matt J. Gumbl » Thu, 16 Oct 1997 04:00:00

Having acquired a SparcStation 5, and wanting to put RedHat 4.2 on it,
I was rather surprised to find no comp.os.linux.sparc (or
comp.os.linux.sun, etc.) newsgroup to which I could run weeping if
everything goes wrong!

Is there any demand for the creation of such a group? The Alpha and
PowerPC people have their own :-(

Regards,
        Matt

I also think that such group is a good idea.

But you have to subscribe to it (and get tons of letters in your
mailbox)
If you are not subscribed, you are not allowed to post.

I'll subscribe, and test the waters there, and if there's interest,
look into how the group can be created.

I can do a *little* work for it - if anyone would like to help with
this, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
