I'm trying to compile Metamail on my Slakware 1.2.3 and it gives me
an 'sgtty.h: No such file or directory' error.

What is 'sgtty.h', where do I get it and where does it go (/include?).
Any pointers much appreciated.

try adding a line

#define LINUX
^^^^^^^^^^^^^
at top of the file config.h
^^^^^^^^

You need to add '-I/usr/include/bsd' to CFLAGS and add '-lbsd' to LFLAGS.

I put "#define LINUX" in the config.h file, and it no
longer stopped with this error.
