Help: Small problem with Midnight Commander

Post by wseg.. » Sun, 05 Dec 1999 04:00:00

I have a simple problem:

Midnight Commander won't display HTML files.  Instead, I get

"metamail: Can't open temporary file!"

followed by

"Empty output from child filter."

Lynx won't run, either.  I'm running Mandrake 6.0 and have not tampered with
anything...yet.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Sounds like a problem creating temporary files. What does /tmp look
like? Permissions should be

  drwxrwxrwt   8 root     root    2048    Dec  3 23:27 ./

Also, what does 'df' show?

/tmp permissions are ok and df shows plenty of space; less than 500 Megs of a 2
Gig drive used.

Any other ideas?
