NEEDED: Circus art and music for game

Post by William Kendri » Tue, 04 Jan 2000 04:00:00

New Breed Software is working on a new Open Source (read: free) game for
Linux, Windows and BeOS.  It is based on the Atari 2600 game "Circus Atari,"
by Atari.

The game itself is coming along well, but we'd like to have circus music
and a nice circusy background for the game.

You can learn about it, and see current development screenshots at:

  http://www.newbreedsoftware.com/circus-linux/

The music needs to be in Amiga MOD format (MOD, XM, IT, etc.), and the
background art needs to be 640x480 or 640x448 pixels in size.

If you can help with either music or graphics, please let us know!

Thanks!

1. GAME: Circus Linux! 0.0.2 Released

Version 0.0.2 of "Circus Linux!" has been released!

What Is It?

Circus Linux! is a clone of the Atari 2600 game "Circus Atari,"
  produced by Atari, Inc.

The object is to move a teeter-totter back and forth across the screen
to bounce clowns up into the air.  When they reach the top, they pop
rows of balloons and then fall back down.  If you don't catch one, you
  lose a clown!

Circus Linux! is Open Source software, released under the
GNU Public License.  (In other words, it's free and comes as source
code which you can examine and edit!)

New in version 0.0.2

  * Pause feature
  * "Low power" mode for better playability on lower-end hardware
  * More animated circus acts in the background
  * Bug fixes and other enhancements
