by The Debian distribution of the GNU/Linux OS machine shop has a good
package management system and about 4000 packages today. Once you have a
working OS made at the Debian shop you install/update software as follows:
apt-get update
apt-get install new-package
To do a complete upgrade:
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
