is there any way possible to load an ASF in Windows? or could you WINE
MediaPlayer through Linux?

Wine may work. Have you tried it? I'm sure lots of others would be
interested to know if it works.

or.. is there a way to do it under Linux without wine?

Not until someone reverse engineers ASF or Micros~1 releases a Linux
version of the player (about 1 sec. before hell freezes over).
