P90/PCI Question

P90/PCI Question

Post by Elan Feingo » Mon, 21 Nov 1994 04:32:48

I've read the PCI-HowTo.

I'm thinking of getting the ASUS PCI motherboard (not sure of the
exact board revision), with a P90 CPU.  I plan on initially using
a WD420 caviar IDE hard drive, and an ISA Farenheit 1280+ video
card.  Eventually I plan to buy a faster video card, probably
a #9GXE/PCI, and a SCSI-II HD, with a controller that uses
the onboard NCR chip.

My basic question is:  Has anyone done a similar thing and found that
it works?  I'm most worried about the IDE HD, the ISA video card, and
the SCSI-II controller.

I appreciate any input anyone can give me.

Thanks,

Elan
