When my friend and I installed Linux on my machine, we used fdisk on linux
to resize all the partitions. These seemed to work perfectly. In fact I
didn't even have to reinstall my programs in my dos partition because they
were all still there (My dos partition wasn't very full). Dos doesn't complain
but I have noticed that fdisk under linux and dir on dos both claim that
the dos partition is much larger than it is. My disk is a 1 gig scsi. We
repartitioned it to 600 dos, 400 linux. Now dir and fdisk should show my
dos partition to be 600 megs but they show it to be 1 gig. Why is this? Is
this a potential problem or just a mild annoyance?
