I must really apologize for misspelling Linux as Linus in my
previous posting.
My spell checker replaced all instances of Linux by Linus.
I seem to be brain-dead today.
Sorry.

Your Hard Card should work just fine.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice -- RUSH
1. Hard Drives: Can Linux be put on a "hard card"?
I've scavenged an old 386 with 60mb of drive C and about 170 on D, which
happens to be one of those hard card things that were popular several
years ago. I have no idea what sort of controller it is using; it's all
contained in a sealed black casing with only some dip switches showing.
Is there any reason not to expect this to somehow be recognised by linux?
Ideally I'd like to boot off of that disk, but I may have to boot of the
current 60 meg and just put bits of linux on the 170 assuming it can find
it after boot.
Thanks,
scott
