Is it possible to capture a Real video stream and make a local copy?

Thanks for any suggestions,

Check out vsound (its on freshmeat). It only does audio, but it works very
well (and I now have a nice ogg file of the latest Dead Ringers episode on
my hard disk (miles better then a tape recording).

Thinking about emailing me? Only do so if it isn't apropriate for this
newsgroup. If it should have been in the group it will  probably be ignored.

If you're willing to stray to the "dark side", there is a Windows program
called "Steambox VCR" that downloads and saves Real streams in their
original format. It is *very* nice.

Unfortunately, under pressure from Real Networks, Streambox no longer make
the product. There are betas out there, floating about the web.
