by My colleague just took a Zip disk, DOS formatted and written from
Windows 3.1 through our Linux box using Samba to a SCSI Zip drive,
home to use with his parallel Zip drive. It didn't work -- the Iomega
utilities couldn't find anything on the disk.
Has anyone gotten this to work? Is it even _supposed_ to work? I
figured the only real difference is in the cabling (I heard somewhere
that the parallel drive was basically SCSI over a different cable) and
there was no reason the disk formats should be any different, but
maybe they are. Any suggestions?
