DataTech 3280 SCSI controller and Linux?

Post by Steve Wampl » Sat, 08 Jan 1994 07:39:40

I've been asked by a friend whether or not a 'DataTech 3280'
SCSI controller works with Linux.  Having never *heard* of
a DataTech 3280, I'm passing the buck.  Anybody know?

Thanks!

If you are talking about the DTC3280, it is not Linux compatible, and the
software they sold me with my 3280 SCUMMY controller wouldn't allow my comm
program to download to my SCSI drive. I had to call the jerks, long distance,
and download the fix. The idiots will not allow a driver to be written to
make it Linux compatible. They require a non-disclosure agreement...
as if someone is stupid enough to try to build a DTC when the could build
an Adaptech or a BusLogic.
Tell your friend to steer well clear of any DTC junk.
