Help with LILO error

Help with LILO error

For certain extrenuous reasons, I had to put lilo on a floppy to use a
boot disk. everything went just fine but when I try to boot of it it
says:

LILO loading...
LILO loading...
LILO loading...

then stalls and I have to reset

I've looked up the error in almost all the literature I have and it
isn't in there

please help!!!
