Tough to say exactly... When I use NS 3.04, I can't get
it to play, no matter what I have for helper apps to play
audio/x-wav. I attribute this to the fact that the
JavaScript support in NS 3.04 is quite dated. Straight
links to sound files play fine.
When I use NS 4.76, (which has Plugger handling the plug-ins),
the word from webster plays over and over in a loop until I
'killall play'
Using Mozilla 0.7, I get a dialog box pop-up asking what
application I want to play it with. I pick /usr/bin/play
and the sound plays once, as it's supposed to.
You might also want to make sure that bothaudio/x-wav and
audio/wav types have the same helper apps.
